Covered Wagon Adventure - Tour and BBQ
Experience a unique adventure into the Sonoran Desert and along the Canyons of the San Andreas Fault on a Covered Wagon! Ride comfortably into a pristine wilderness preserve while your naturalist guide entertains and commentates through beautiful canyon landscapes and natural palm oases. Learn about the plant life and wildlife that inhabit this oasis desert wilderness such as Owls, Hawks, Reptiles & Coyotes that can be seen on our tours. Learn about the local Cahuilla “Native American” Culture and their presence in this area. Hear about the early Pioneer History and stagecoach stops in this desert outback. Take a guided nature walk along the Oasis created by the San Andreas Fault. Returning to the ranch, you will be greeted with live, western music and the expansive desert sunset from one of the best views in the Coachella Valley. Continue the evening with the choice of a barn dance (easy to learn & lessons provided), outdoor games, live music, and a delicious BBQ Dinner with all the trimmings. Our typical menu is Brisket or Tri-tip, BBQ Chicken, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Coleslaw, Cowboy Beans, and fresh Country Breads. Warm apple pie with whipped cream is typically served for dessert. Round off the evening relaxing, dancing or roasting marshmallows beside the campfire, under a stary sky!
